What are all these differnt types of Masses?

Which is incorrect. There are many “authentic” liturgies allowed in the Latin rite. Rolltide simply corrected that statement.

I will clarify AGAIN. My DIRECT posting was:

**The only authentic Liturgies are the Novus Ordo and the Tridentine in the Latin rite. The SSPX is a schismatic group which broke away after Vatican II and specifically celebrates through the Tridentine liturgy (Latin). **

**Now, let’s confuse you even more. *There are many other types of Liturgies in the Church. They are all the Mass, but are said differently, such as Byzantine, Melkite, Maronite, etc. ***

A sentence which implies that other liturgies in use in the Latin Rite: Ambrosian, the Anglican Use, etc are not “authentic”. Regardless of whether that’s what you meant to imply, it’s incorrect.

No, that is not what I meant and you KNOW it. The one posting was asking about the TWO forms of the Latin Mass - NO and the EF. The one posting was also asking about the form used in the SSPX. I replied that they use the Tridentine (which is the EF). Nothing was said about other celebrations in Latin. I DID mention the different rites used in Liturgy, however.

You must be a woman…got to have the last say all the time, eh? 😛

Sorry, it’s not the way I read it either, but if I misread it, I apologize. The statement is easy to misread without further clarification. Honestly, I don’t think the original poster was even AWARE of things like the Mozarabic and Ambrosian liturgies, which is why I added the information.
