what are catholics going to do when this website closes down

This website is severely in the red. What are you guys going to do when it closes? is there a different site to go to?

I just pledged a bunch of money, to do my part that this won’t happen. 👍
 
I just made a donation.👍

I think all users should at least make a one time donation. I even think it would be appropriate to make a one time donation (per 12 month period) necessary to post. 😉

I believe it would help cut down on the those who register just to harrass Catholicism with a few posts then never come back. It would also make those who get banned reconsider their posts before clicking the post button (might make for a more peaceful atmosphere). 😃

Might also turn away those in need of answers who don’t have a credit card/the means to pay though.

Sounds great, save I am unemployed at the moment and by doing things that way would be setting up a caste system and some who could really benefit from this site wouldn’t.
 
Make real friends with whom to establish real [live] Christian relationships. Did you know that you can actually make friends that you can take fishing or walk with. 🤷

I hadn’t thought of that…even though most everything already posted could be viewed(and there seems to be alot of dead horses in there 😉 ). Maybe they could leave an advice forum available? 🤷

Yeah its possible. However, remember, not everyone on the fora comes from a country as economically blessed as the USA, there are some wise people, with a lot to share who couldn’t afford to pay to give opinions. And also people who do not have jobs and youngsters. Theres probably a really easy solutin we’re not seeing here 😛

Frankly I think CA has way over-extended itself. At a time whn other catholic ministires have merged en masse in the US.

The internet is key today. More than radio or print media.

I’d suggest CA cut back CA Live (the radio show) to 1 hour. Or reduce This Rock to just 6 issues per year.

Cutting out the website will do more harm than cutting back the radio ministry or the publications. IMHO.
 
Next time a Mormon or Jw come to your door tell them they have make a donation to CA before you talk them
 
CAF had a fantastic first day of their donation drive. Praise be to God! I, for one, will be praying that donations continue at this rate for the duration. 👍

Wouldn’t that be the dream of anti-Catholics on this site?

I just made a commitment for this yr of donating monthly, thanks for reminding me 😃 I did it last yr and will do it as long as I can… and I am unemployed.

I cherish this site a lot to let it slip by and be closed. I think those of us who frequent this site a lot should do our part to help out. We need this site and the site needs us.

I pray that it reaches its goal again.
 
I’ve been a forum supporter for a while, I just did not advertise it. Now, I am.
 
I send my monthly dues here.

Hope all is well here, but with the economic troubles, it is tougher to run charities, including donation sites like this one.
