Hello

What are my chances of becoming
a priest?

I was born and raised Jehovah’s witness. My desire was to work for God fulltime. I did this as a Jehovah’s witness, I only recently learned that the Catholic church was the true church. If I had known about the Catholic church I am 100 percent sure I would be a priest…Is it to late now?

I am in my late twenties and I don’t have a wife or children.
I only have a little debt to pay of.

Should I continue to remain single and persue the priest hood?
Or did I waist that time as a Jehovah’s witness?

Hi,

It is possible that God is calling you to be a priest. I suggest that you first, become a Catholic. Increase your prayer life. Reflect on the Lord’s passion daily, thanking Him for each of His sufferings. As a priest, His passion becomes your very life in that you celibrate it every time you celibrate Mass.

Eventually you will want to check your diocesan vocation director and ask for suggestions on getting a regular spiritual director. But for now, see a priest about gettinf into RCIA. Feel free to contact me further on this.

Fr. Vincent Serpa, O.P.
