What are My Sins?

Today I went to confession (sacrament of reconciliation) and realized that I struggle with my examination of conscience. I know that I am a sinner, have sinned and have sins (probably many) to confess, but have a difficult time putting my finger on them (so to speak).

Does anyone know of a good Catholic book that I can bring to church with me (or use at home) that goes into great detail insofar as ones examination of conscience is concerned.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The FSSP’s bookstore has a really good book for examination of consciences. I can’t remember what it’s called, but it’s pretty thin and pretty inexpensive.

that is a very good examination, although it doesn’t cover every sin, but it covers a very good bulk of sins and also has advice and explanations to help you understand what’s a sin and why and what to do about it.
what i really like about this book is, it doesn’t just list mortal sins, but also venial, so for those who don’t commit mortal sins, or not often, this helps with devotional confessions as well.
