What are other early writings that reference Babylon?

I understand that at the time of Revelation, Babylon was commonly known as a term referencing pagan Rome. Are there any other early Christian writings that use Babylon in this manner like Revelation does?

No, “Babylon” was also used in reference to Jerusalem.

Karl Keating said in the 6/15/04 CAL Q&A Open Forum that “the code word for Rome commonly used by Christians at the time was Babylon…the name Babylon was used by those of Jewish ancestry to indicate the persecution that the Babylonians had inflicted on the Israelites.”

So I am wondering if there are any other writings from the 1st or 2nd century that use Babylon to refer to the Roman Empire besides Revelation.

Right now I’m reading the book Lamb’s Supper (Scott Hahn) and it is very awesome, goes very much into depth of Revelation and what the church teaches about it. If you are studying Revelation I would strongly recommend this book.
