I am looking for some good books on the Trinity, and the best translations. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you read any books by Father Michael Gaitley? I have not read his new book about the Trinity but it is on my reading list. I’ve read other books by him and I think he does a good job of explaining difficult subjects in a way that’s easy to understand.

Click here for a link to his book, The One Thing Is Three: How the Most Holy Trinity Explains Everything

Gaitley is fantastic … I would definitely recommend his book.

Theology and Sanity by Frank Sheed, published by Ignatius Press in 1978 (Going by memory). It covers much more than just the doctrine of The Blessed Trinity, but it devotes more than 30 pages to it.

An earlier, and almost identical, edition can be read online AND downloaded gratis (copyright expired).

The link below worked from here.
If it doesn’t: “frank sheed theology and sanity katapi”

There are other sites which say the book can be downloaded.

As you might guess, the section on The Blessed Trinity takes effort, but it’s an eye opener. The whole book is more than worth reading.

Another book, deeper, is Reality by Fr Garrigou-Lagrange, a Thomistic scholar.
