What would be some real life examples please?
What does it mean to love in this sense?

The more a person knows and loves God, the more impossible it becomes to sin, to harm ones neighbor: to kill, to gossip, to commit adultery, to steal, to lie, to be selfish and petty and jealous. It was driven home to me lately by a neighbor who, primarily due to jealousy -she coveted a possession of ours-and aided by substance abuse she demonstrated the darker side of humanity. Mean, paranoid, spreading outright lies about us to other neighbors, accusing us of every sin under the sun (many of them her own) and everything that went wrong in her world, watching every move we made-just weird. At least she openly mocked faith in God, another reason for her hating us which she admitted to as well to a common acquaintance-even tho we did her no harm, gave her no reason. Sometimes people act that way while still claiming to be believers. But it’s by their fruits that we know them. What would be some real life examples please?

Is there a possibility that your neighbour could have a mental illness that is distorting her perceptions or maybe the substance abuse has affected her brain significantly enough to distort her reasoning and perceptions? The more a person knows and loves God, the more impossible it becomes to sin, to harm ones neighbor: to kill, to gossip, to commit adultery, to steal, to lie, to be selfish and petty and jealous. Yes, but I’m not sure why that makes the default position for her so blatantly evil rather than kind or neutral or whatever. To speak to her one on one she can seem quite normal and intelligent. To read her texts or hear what’s been said to others about us is chilling in its sheer falsehood vulgarity, etc. All self-serving and extremely narcissistic in nature in any case. And her husband, apparently an alcoholic and other substance user as well, plays along with and enables her stuff, seemingly too weak to stand up to her instead. Is there a possibility that your neighbour could have a mental illness that is distorting her perceptions or maybe the substance abuse has affected her brain significantly enough to distort her reasoning and perceptions?
My own life is a real life example. I know that when realize I am less patient, kind, forgiving, and tolerant of others those are the times when I am more distant from God, ie, my prayer life and other devotions have been slipping and I’ve been sinning in other ways, too. What would be some real life examples please?
