What are your favorite traditions, aspects, teachings, etc. About the Catholic Faith?

I love the reverence, the history, the teachings of being Holy, God and his love and mercy and sense of justice, and a whole lot more!

What do you love about the Catholic Faith?

The Eucharist… The ability to consume the Lord of the Universe… It never ceases to amaze me

That that it is traced back to Christ Himself.
That we have the fullness of faith, His very BOdy in Eucharist and the communion of saints to help us on the journey.
And that He asked us to work with Him for the good of the Kingdom. I work in a parish and leap out of bed everyday. It brings to my life a holy purpose.

The Sacrament of Confession. My sins can be forgiven, and I can know for sure they are forgiven. ✝️😄

Hi Joe1, I love catholic people. Faith is believing some thing and not really knowing, but accepting what others have said or claimed without verification. Having faith might not be good if you do not know where or what you have faith in. Keep asking questions.

From an outsider’s point of view, it’s the holy people who are standing up for what is most important to our life as Christians: Sister Jean Prejean, Fr James Martin, the Nuns on the Bus, Fr Thomas Reese, Joan Chittester, Phyllis Zagano… and the men and women who have lived in my lifetime and were heroes of the faith - Thomas Merton, Dorothy Day, Daniel Berrigan, Oscar Romero, and on and on.

These people represent the best of the Roman Catholic community.

(name removed by moderator), On the surface of this ad or promotion, this sounds just like what our soldiers were put through when they were captured in Korea during the war. Anyone who subjects themselves to this kind of a routine will not have time to think. That is exactly what the routine was really intended to do. They called it brain washing. Is this the same thing?

WOW , (name removed by moderator), The bible has some very bad thing in it. Slavery, Murdering for God, etc. etc.

My point is catholic people can be good without being required to do anything. That is especially true of the clergy. people are basically good and civilized. The book says we were born with some sort of flaw which is not true. I like being truthful.

If that is so then why did Jesus die for our sins if we could be good and pure with no flaws? Furthermore if we are to be good we must do good works

Ignore him. He’s hijacked the thread.
Back to the topic. What do I love about Catholicism? That is puts before us a God who is intimate with us, not distant in his heaven but right here on earth with us. That it provides every single possible means for us to become holy, especially the sacraments. That there is 2000 years of holy people to give us a multiplicity of exemplars, and each of those saints is unique. Mary, of course. And the beautiful doctrine of the Communion of Saints.
God is good.

Come on Joe1 , I am 82 years old and know a story when i hear one. Almost everything in the book has been retold so many times. The very worst evidence in a court of law is observed evidence.
