I am not looking for amateur blogs. I am talking about real professional websites with professional philosophers like peter kreefts website. I want a catholic website that is strictly orientated toward the philosophical side of things.

I hope you know of a few gems that i don’t know about. Peace.👍

The only thing wrong with philosophy, is philosophers.

Here is something to "philosophy about.
Should i have said.
The only thing wrong with philosophy, IS philosophers
or
The only thing wrong with philosophy, ARE philosophers
I’m sort of going with are. I could be wrong. English was never my strong point.

reasonablefaith.org

This is William Lane Craig’s website. He’s an Evangelical Christian, but I’ve found very little on there that is disagreeable to Catholics. He also puts out 2 podcasts which are very good IMO. One is called “Defenders” and one is called “Reasonable Faith”. Most of his stuff is about arguments for the existence of God and the truth of the resurrection. Check out his scholarly articles setion if you’re looking for really deep stuff. I stick to the popular articles myself, I don’t think I’m ready for the doctorate level papers .

I hear you. 🙂 I have the same problem. It looks to me 😃 that either way is wrong. I think the sentence would need to be reworded. It would be best if some experts answer.

As for me, language gets in my way when I try to communicate. I wish I could transmit my thoughts in another way. It’s like you really need to slow down some times to translates your thoughts to the language being used to communicate. Sometimes, I just do not have the patience and disrespect the protocol, grammar rules, etc…and write telegram style. I often write like a painting. A color patchwork that when seen reveals what is being communicated. Nope, eloquence, is not my thing.

Just want to let you know that I struggle too.

Sorry, I don’t know of any good Catholic Philosophy websites but, if I learn of one I will provide a link on this thread. 🙂

I am writing from Galway in the West of Ireland where Philosophers are a little thin on the ground, particularly ones with a Catholic bent. My name is Walter Macken. But the best “catholic” philosophers worked in the North American Continent in the forties and fifties of the last century, such as Etienne Gilson and Pegis. At least the web is useful as we have all of St. Thomas’s works available in Latin and in English. corpusthomisticum.org comes from the University of Navarre in Pamplona North of Spain, and has everything you would need. New Advent.org has the Summa and other works in English. In fact all you have to do is google Aquinas to find all his works there. If you google Augustine you will also find his works, and he was a truly great philosopher. We need a philosophical base if we are to build up a serious rational foundation for the natural law.

PeterKreeft.com Download the audio and you’ve got a year’s worth to listen to and reflect on. Best I’ve ever heard.

Meant to add: wordonfire.org Great video commentaries and at the iTunes store you can subscribe to the sermon downloads of Fr. Robert Barron free. He’s quite a philosopher and I love listening to him.

The reson for our hope is also a good one at the iTunes store, Fr. Larry Richards.

By philosophy, I mean the philosophic application of scripture and analysis of situations.

Thank you all for all the links. And, what would you have on theology and science (with a Catholic orientation)?
