What are the complete teachings on Purgatory?

I need help finding detailed Church teachings on Purgatory. I am good with and understand what is said in the Catechism 1030-1032. However, is there more specific detailed points to Purgatory that we, as Catholics, must adhere to and defend?

I ask because most of the arguments seem to occur in the details and I would like to know exactly what I need to defend and when I can say “that is not official church teaching”.
