The core diffrences. They are really close to us in terms of liturgy, and the only thing I know about them is that people usually think they got mass that looks similliar to orthodox and also that they don’t have the same creed as us.
Any other core differences ?

Greek Catholic, just means they use Byzantine liturgy. They are still 100% Catholic.

Ah I see, thanks ! Any reason though they are less frequent than roman catholics ?

Geography, communist persecution. Keep in mind, most Eastern Christians (not just Eastern Catholics) live in areas that were once under large communist persecution, other times, they have lived (and still live) in areas where, for at least a few centuries, Muslims have made up the majority. Greek Catholics have historically lived in areas such as Eastern Europe and the Middle East.

This is the Non-Catholic board, so maybe you’re confusing “Greek Catholics” (in full communion with Rome - see the Eastern Catholicism board for more) with Eastern Orthodox? (Greek Orthodox being a subset of Eastern Orthodox).

I would suggest you start a new thread on the Eastern Catholicism board. You’ll get better answers there :).

I just wanted a quick answer, I think this was good, enough, might look into the topic in more detail over the weekend. Thanks anyway 🙂

Well, since my answers are correct and well-researched I’m a little offended, but you’re right it really should be posted there.

I meant more detailed answers from Eastern Catholics themselves who are more likely to see the thread on that board.
