What are "The Essentials"?

You clearly don’t get it. I follow forum rules and my behavior is pretty consistent. The results are not. There is something on your end that causes problems on my end. I understand that your behavior is not so heinous as to flame bait and then report a fair bit of what you see, but it seems that you spend a fair portion of your time taking care of the first part while other people take care of the rest.

It’s a combination of factors involving people besides you, but from my limited experience- along with things I’ve heard- prolonged arguments with you tend to be one of the more dangerous things that a non-Catholic can become involved with here. Mostly because of lurkers, but you don’t create a safe space. Nothing personal, but between you and your friends, your “home” is not a particularly safe place for me.

Again, I’m sure everything is peachy for you. For me, though, not so much.

So is there anything else you want from me that’s somewhat related to the OP so I can wrap this up.

Yea. You actually can talk about Tiger Woods without talking about golf, though. He’s a philandering husband, you could talk about his public image or his friendship with Kobe, the 15-month calendar that was made featuring a different mistress of his for every month, you could talk about how he interacts with the media or the religion that he chooses to claim as his own. You could easily get from one of those topics to his golf game, but you certainly don’t have to. And by way of analogy, my experience has been one where Catholic apologists will talk about nothing but golf and refuse to touch any other issue. What if I want to talk about Tiger’s religion? His religion is not golf.

If one goes by sola scriptura, what are the essential beliefs that every “believer” will discover, without fail, in the bible?

For this Protestant, the Nicene Creed is a pretty good summary of the essentials I find in the Scriptures. I believe the Catholic Church and “most” Protestant churches agree.

I think the best explanation is that it is doctrine that the bread and wine are Transubstantiated. But how this occurs is a theory only. The dogma is that it is, indeed, the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist.

*And therefore there’s no such thing as “What are the essentials beliefs” ? Rather the question is “Whose list of essential beliefs are YOU accepting ?” In other words “Who is your bible alone pope whose list of essential beliefs you are sticking to ?”

There are indeed “essentials”. But one does not get that from the Scriptures, but rather from the Church.
