During lent when do you fast Only Fridays and ash Wednesday and good Friday? Or every day during lent. And do you still abstain from meat on Fridays even after lent?
Only Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are days of fast. On Ash Wednesday and all Fridays of Lent, the faithful are obliged to abstain.
The United States Bishops encourage the faithful to do some act of penance on the Fridays of the year, but do not insist that it be abstinence. Below is a link to their website, concerning this matter:
