What are the form and matter in Reconciliation?

Where do I find the form and matter of the sacraments? I heard them in a sermon by Fr. John Corapi but I can’t find them in the Catechism.

The Matter is the Sins of the penitent communicated in person to the priest. The Form are the words of Absolution spoken by the priest.
 
The Roman Catechism gives an equivalent answer to Matter being the ‘sins of the penitent’ by stating that the acts of the penitent form the quasi-matter of the Sacrament: sorrow, confession, penance. The form is the words of absolution.

I know the form is the absolution formula. I thought the matter was not yet exactly pinned down by the magisterium and that the commonly held opinion is that the matter is the 'tears of contrition" of the penitent. (Not always literal tears but contrition nonetheless.) Can you provide a more precise magisterial reference on the matter for us? (wow. okay pun intended.)

My answer is from my head, I’m not looking it up somewhere. However You will find your answer I’m sure in the canons of the Council of Trent.
