What are the reasons I should (or shouldn't) become Catholic?

The only people who rely on failsafes are those who are not sure of themselves. I am sure enough of myself not to rely on religious failsafes.

Yes he did all that. But what if there is a higher level of reality that even God with all his powers cant detect? The possibilities are endless and even God should be a little careful. The GOLDEN RULE is the best rule any man or god can abide with. Treat any intelligent life forms the way you want another life form to treat you.

Um - okay.

Those who know the truth, and have been in the Truth are held to a higher accountability than those who never knw the Truthc.

Jesus died for ALL, whether they believe in Him or not, but if you know the Truth and spead doubt, where does that leave you?

God is neither ā€œaliveā€ nor ā€œsentientā€ in the senses that you and I understand those ideas.

He is not just a bigger and more powerful one of us - He is something entirely outside of our earthly experience, and outside of our ability to comprehend.

Tell me exactly what part of the statement you donā€™t believe is the Truth? The fact that Jesus died for all, or that you have to believe in Jesus in order to be saved? Or that you have to own up to the fact that you once knew the Truth, but now are spreading seeds of doubt?

And yet you refer to this God as a ā€œHeā€. Its natural for us to refer to any intelligent being as if that being has human qualities. God is no exception. Anyway I agree with what you said.

We refer to God as a He as this is how He chose to reveal himself to us in the flesh.

The word became flesh:)

Even in the Old Testament God was described using human qualities like love, wrath & jealousy.

Even in Genesis it was said that man was made in the image & likeness of God. (the way I see it the hebrews invented their version of God in the image and likeness of Man šŸ˜ƒ )
