What are the requirements of going to seminary?

What are the requirements of seminary? Do you have to go to a undergraduate school first? or do you just go to seminary right after you get out of high school?
 
It depends.

Some dioceses or religious orders might prefer that their seminarians get their degree if they feel that the education is important to them.

The seminaries that I am familiar with will be understanding if you want to get your college degree first, but encourage you to enter the seminary sooner and not delay your vocation.

Some orders will even accept novices who failed to graduate from high school, and help them get a GED before entering seminary.

As far as Major (graduate) Seminary goes, you will need to have a bachelors degree before you begin your studies.

A Minor (college) Seminary will require you to obtain a high school diploma or a GED.

If you are in high school now, the best thing to do would be to discuss with your pastor that you are feeling prompted to inquire about pursuing priesthood.

He can guide you through the process.
