What are the rules for a scapular?

St. Alphonsus used to wear his Scapular in his bath. And my cousin (who left the Church) died in the shower, all alone. I understand what you’re saying but on this we have to agree to disagree.

Question: my scapular is already falling apart so I ordered a new one online. I do not have to get it blessed again, because the blessing is on the person, correct? Or am I wrong?

As I understand it, one’s very first scapular needs to be blessed. Scapulars acquired afterwards do not need to be blessed.

This is the case with the Brown Scapular; where other scapulars are concerned, I do not know for sure.
