What are the symptons that Devil is influencing ur life any physical signs like body pain etc

Sin and temptation to sin.

Plain and simple. The Devil wants us to sin and lose faith so we go to Hell.

Or, are you talking about actual demonic affliction/possession?

God Bless

No … not demonic but like continous anger or physical detoriation etc…

Anger can certainly be used by Satan to tempt us into sin. It is one of the Seven Deadly Sins (sins that cause all others).

Physical deterioration is much more likely to be medical in nature, I would consult a doctor before worrying about the Devil in that instance.

Laziness… The Devil’s favorite pastime. Laying on the couch for hours, sleeping late, hitting the snooze, procrastinating at work,…

Before each of these things happens, there is a moment of decision that occurs. “Do I clean the house, or watch another hour of TV?” “I can sleep another hour and still be at work by 8”.

Ehhh…some of that could just be attributed to a lack of discipline. Not necessarily Satan calling there.

The general rule from me would be that if you sense anything pulling you away from Christ, could be the Devil.

Physical pain could just as easily be from God, or not. Prayer and discernment are required. No one on this forum could say one way or the other.

The biggest deception the devil uses is convincing people he doesn’t exist.

AMEN Jim. I recently heard this on EWTN:

"God says from all eternity… ‘I AM’. But the devil, who is the exact opposite tries to convince us… “I am not”. And when people are convinced that there is no devil… THAT is when the enemy moves in for the kill.

Varghese… anything that leads us away from God, and into sin is from the evil one. Put all your trust in Our Lord. He will guide you and protect you. God bless.

There is one symptom of the Devil influencing a persons life common to all those so influenced.

Life.

If you are alive, the Devil is influencing you, or trying to influence you. This is because every man and woman, save Mary, has sin. Sin is from the Devil. And as long as you are still in the process of salvation, the Devil will try to corrupt your soul

The influence of Satan in the life of a person will reveal itself in all that is contrary to the fruits of The Holy Spirit:

Charity
Joy
Peace
Patience
Benignity
Goodness
Long-suffering (patient suffering over an extended period)
Mildness
Faith
Modesty
Continency
Chastity

Simply put, anything that draws you from God instead of TO God, is devilish. The list of the fruits of the Spirit is quite valuable. Perhaps this Catholic Encyclopedia article on the Discernment of Spirits will be helpful.

Hi Varghese,

Sometimes when we sin, our bodies are influenced by sin. for example, unforgiveness might cause evil thoughts, hatred, anger, resentment, depression, inability to pray, and other psycological diseases. I’m not expert on this topic. I’m not sure why people experience physical pains, I recommend going to the doctor and seek a priest and try to examine your self and your relationship with other people and try to listen to God in silence with thanksgiving.

God bless you,
Khalid
