Our Lady of the Prairies Package!

Sacramentals are not to be used superstitiously. Like any sacramental, it is most efficacious when used in faith. The Code of Canon Law (canon 1166) defines sacramentals as "sacred signs by which spiritual effects especially are signified and are obtained by the intercession of the Church

I ask this because we are told NOT to look for signs, and Jesus tells us not to do so.

The disclaimer notwithstanding, what you’ve got there is superstition plain and simple – a bit of magic to get God to do things the way you want.

Sorry, but it’s not superstition anymore than is praying the Rosary for a certain intention. Many immigrant families in the North central USA and Canada have had this firm devotion to Our Lady of the Prairies and blessed wheat for over a century and a half now.

If it’s not your taste, ignore it.
Don’t slam other people for using it in faith.
And there is nothing wrong with a blessed prayer-cloth, either.
Ya just don’t worship the thing.

OK then how are we to take such things, in the sence of the Catholic religion?

Has this been accepted?
Is there proof of this being of God?
I am not putting this down but asking, please

All I know is that devotion to Our Lady of the Prairies and the sacramental use of blessed wheat is a rather old devotion and I believe it is fully-approved by the Church. You use a few grains of blessed wheat like you might use a few drops of holy water or a few grains of blessed salt, and pray for Our Lady’s intercession for our material needs.
