I am doing several things. One of the things that I am doing is that I am committed for Lent to do 33 things that I have been procrastinating to do. They may not necessarily fall under procrastination but could be things that need to be done that for some reason or other have not been done. When I started it was tough as some of the tasks on the list are boring, but by the end of Lent I will get the benefits.
One boring thing that I am doing today (I hope) is to contact Dell so they can assist me to set up the operating system on my computer ( I already bought the DVD) My computer crashed back in December and I downloaded a temporary system and have been meaning to set it up once and for all. The Dell Technicians also told me about something called an “Enclosure” which is a little gadget inwhere you can put your old driver and get or have access to the available information. So, today, after probably 4 to 7 hours on the phone with the Dell Tech I will have these gadgets set up. Then, I am going to buy Office and have Word and other programs which I need desperately to write letters etc…
Another thing that I am committed to do for Lent is to go through all the clothes in the home; donate, discard, iron, wash, off season container etc… I want to have all the clothes organized and in place etc… Let me tell you, this sounds easier than it really is. It is quite a task, but once I am done it’s going to be really good.
Yet, another, is to get rid off as many things as I can. I have already taken four car loads to the Salvation Army. A lot of the things were from my father who died back in September, but a lot more are things that just accumulated and I have not taken the time to get rid off stuff. This is going to really lighten things up.
I also want to go thru boxes of papers and discard, file, act upon some etc…
I want to get my old routine of praying the Liturgy of the Hours in the morning (the office of reading) and so, today, I will order the Saint Joseph Guide.
Overall, I want to get better organized and get my home organized.
