John Paul II was “virtually obsessed with trying to achieve unity with the Orthodox.”
I live with four Roman Catholic men of my age. Our friends nicknamed us the monastery. I am the only non RC in the house. Often we are up till the wee hours of the morning talking about the difference in perspectives. The friendship is great. The most common greeting in the hous is a tounge in cheek “whats up heratic.”
What are you doing to find unity?
If we all have sacraments Orthodox and Catholic, then none of us can truly be heratics. If we are not heratics we should have communion. Aftrer all that is what Christ prayed for.
I am not looking to start a who is right and who is wrong thread here. I want to know is anyone else like JPII, or is that just a charism he got after elevation to the See of Peter?
