What are you giving / getting for Christmas?

I know it is the Lord’s birthday and we are not commercialized as catholics, and I know what we all really want is world peace and good kids.

But…what are you getting for the kids this year and what are you hoping to get?

We’re getting the boys paintball gear and I’m not sure about the girls yet. My wife wants archery equipment for a family gift. How cool is that? What a gal!!
 
Grandchildren are getting a big gift each from this Granny. I am always limited by what I can take halfway across the world in an aeroplane. This year I have made up a big box by taping the gifts together and wrapping them in plastic then tying nylon cord to make a ‘net’ round the box arrangement. I will just take one small suitcase with me and my carry-on. Luckily I have clothes at my daughter’s house.

So what’s in the box. For my granddaughter, a mini kitchen (which will have to be put together). My grandsons are getting a garage which connects to a town and race tower, it’s 3 separate things that can connect together.

What I get will be a selection of amazingly thoughtful gifts from my DD and SIL and the grandchildren, although just being with them at this special time of year will be gift enough for me.
 
FH and I agreed to a $20 spending limit on gifts for each other. We really have everything we need and would rather put money away than buy stuff for each other just because we are supposed to. So by scouring thrift stores and Amazon I’ve managed to find several great books he’ll love, a cool coffee mug with his favorite football team’s logo on it, and a really nice sweater. So far I’ve only spent $8 of the $20.
 
Money is too tight for us right now to have a massive Christmas.

As of now…the money we have for Christmas is going towards our first real tree and presents for my LO (it’s her first Christmas)…all of the family presents will be homemade this year.
 
I just aske for some goodies from bath and body works. DH wants pajamas…they are actually hard to fing because he is so tall and has really long legs to boot.

Seems like all my kids grew out of their clothes since fall already so everyone is getting some clothes… And one other thing they asked for.
 
All my children are grown up but i do have two boys with severe autism so i will always have 2 kids around no matter what age they are in reality…
anyway i am getting special cards that gives goats, trees, chickens, educational equipment. to children in the thrid world, they range in price so i will get them a card each and the gift will go the village in their names… and just a small stocking filler and wonderful family dinner and hopefully my two daughters will make it home from university in England back to northern ireland for Christmas which would make it extra special…

I cant wait to see what card they got me hoping for the goats for the village! dropped enough hints hehe
 
The grandkids will get gift cards, and for us adults we’ve opted to go to dinner and a show and I’ve asked for a centerpiece for Christmas dinner and that’s it. We all have enough stuff.
