What are you thankful for/ like most about yourself?

in the season of thanksgiving, I decided to create a thread dedicated to what your thankful for so go ahead and it can’t hurt to be positive so i’ll start

for me:
a wonderful, caring Catholic family
a booming, deep voice ( i literally sound like the AllState black guy on commercials)
a very intellectual mind
a vibrant spirit life
health
overcame horrid acne and 4 years of braces
the love of God’s creation
 
I’m thankful for my wonderful, beautiful wife. I love her so much!

looking back i was wondering about the many problems that i faced and why God did not help me in the way i wanted…but on deeper thought, i find that God has helped my much better than i imagined…i am thankful for the gift of LIFE!
 
I am thankful for all things. I am thankful for the changes in myself; I can now love unconditionally, I am patient, I am now much less negative, have learned to sacrifice - putting others needs before my own. I thank God for the grace to accept His will. I am now at peace. “My God, My All.”
 
Am not American and therefore don’t do thanksgiving…

but

Am thankful that my faith in God has been saved this year which had died and at that same discussion I was introduced to prayer that I can really pray rather than 25 years of avoiding the issue of prayer…🙂
 
I thankful I finally woke up from a dazed spiritual slumber and am taking my faith more seriously.
 
Great idea for this positive thread!

I am most thankful for God for having created me. Each day is a new day and each day is truly a blessing. God has great things in store for me each day. Some days are tough and can be depressing but I’m glad for each day.

Thankful for my faith and that others can share the faith with me.

Thankful for finding my girlfriend. I never thought a girl could be such a positive influence on me.

I’m thankful for my job. I grumble about it much but it’s non stressful and it pays the bills.

I’m thankful for the all the small pleasures in life, which in other countries might not be so small…just had a wonderful bowl of oatmeal. God is good!

Thankful for the CA Forums! Whenever I have a problem or struggling with a certain issue, I get so much great support here and it’s a reminder that God loves me beyond my wildest dreams.
 
Wonderful thread!

I’m thankful for everything in my life, even the things that seem/ed horrible at the time. They have molded me into who I am today.

I’m mostly thankful for my wonderful family, especially my husband and my two beautiful children.

I’m thankful for the loving gift of music and song, that I can give back to God and to others with it.

Awwwwww…that’s so sweet!!! :love::love::love: She’s a lucky woman!!

First and always foremost, I am thankful for Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. Without Him, I wouldn’t have a shot at Heaven, and my life would be worthless.

I’m thankful that before He left us, Jesus instituted His Church, and gave the Keys to His Kingdom to Peter so we would have guidance and help from the Popes and Bishops ever since! I’m thankful for each and every priest and all religious, especially orders dedicated to prayer for the world - sometimes I think that’s all that keeps us from being wiped out in God’s righteous wrath.

I’m thankful for my life. I’m thankful for my family, even family members who drive me crazy - at least I can pray for them! I’m thankful for my husband who puts up with my bad qualities (there are many) and character defects. I’m thankful for my sons, the lights of my life.

I’m really thankful for each day that I wake up, and it’s another day closer to when Jesus returns!

I am grateful to be 20 years/plus sober, to be employed, to be healthy, to be Catholic in a great and vibrant parish and I am SO GRATEFUL TO BE A SAN FRANCISCO FORTY NINER FAN and a GIANT FAN!!!

I am thankful for my fiance who has shown me the kind of unconditional love that I didn’t know existed before him.

I am thankful for the people in my life who have helped and guided me along in my life, and who continue to do so.

I am thankful that I live in a fun neighborhood in a great city in the kind of apartment that I’ve always wanted.

I’m grateful for the wonderful family that I am preparing to marry in to.

I’m grateful for my education, both what I have already accomplished and the opportunities that I am taking advantage of now.

And my favorite thing about myself is my complete and total lack of materialism. I simply don’t care much about things. That has made it much easier to pursue my education and put money away.
