What are you thankful to God for today?

Among many, many things, I am thankful that much praying of the rosary and reading G.K. Chesterton have helped to untangle my congested brain/heart enough that I am going to mass today for the third time in a few years and, with God’s help, returning to the spiritual life of the Church.

For whatever stirred in my little one the notion to yell at St. Ignatius during the biopic we were watching, “Eat your Tamiflu, badman!” We all laughed for a long time.

For the easing of pain on my back so I don’t need a cane.
For healthcare workers everywhere who care for the ill and injured.

Took my kitties to the vet and they are both still very healthy (and spoiled rotten, of course!) One just needed a booster shot and deworming medication (preventative, because he hunts), and the other I had checked over because I had noticed what looked like blood on his fur, but they couldn’t find any injury, so it may not have been blood, at all. Cats get into things that can come off on their hair, and sometimes it’s hard to tell what it really is.

Happy kitties, happy kittymama!

I’m thankful for literally every blessing and grace He has given me and continues to give me, for all temporal goods and spiritual life and growth.

I am thankful that God is connecting me to wonderful people worldwide. He knows that I’m suffering and I’m sure of it.

For the dentist appointment I finally have today. I haven’t been to a dentist in 6 years. 😬

I am thankful for the doctor that found the foot infection my husband has and cleaned it out for him and put him on antibiotics.

I was able to speak with the priest at my church and got the answers I needed. Not, what I wanted but what I needed.

Thank You God.

I’m thankful for God’s Mercy in His Son, and that His Son gave us Our Lady as our mother and refuge.

I’m thankful for these forums and that God is so Compassionate, and that it is sunny today.

For St Francis Xavier and for The Novena of Grace in Honour of St Francis Xavier (4th March-12th March)

I wasn’t Catholic a few years ago. Nowdays I am very greateful for being one. Our Lady was the main responsible for my convertion (it happened in Fatima, Portugal). Thus, I am greateful to her as well.

I’m just glad after the situation yesterday (posted in Prayer Intentions) that I still have a job and still have money coming in.

Don’t get me wrong. My employer has been wonderful to me all these years. I’m thankful that I at least have money coming in and I thank God twice a day for it.

But, my employer said yesterday that the other person involved with one of my employer’s projects wants me to sign a 15-year commitment for which I would be paid one lump sum at the beginning. Trouble is, (1) the lump sum is very little, and (2) a 15-year commitment would take me until I’m 76 years old. I don’t like the idea of that.

So, as I said, I’m glad that for the time being that I’m still working.
