I heard on RelevantRadio (relevantradio.com/docs/index.asp) the other day LifeNews.Com just became the most visited website regarding Pro-Life/Pro-Abortion Issues on a Daily Basis!!!

Previously the Pro-Abortion Planned Parenthood website had the most daily hits each day. Thank God a Pro-Life website has now become #1!!!

CONGRATULATIONS LIFENEWS.COM!!!

Lisa4Catholics,

I personally think Gonzales would be a very risky selection to the Supreme Court for the Pro-Life Movement. We really do not know where he stands on the issue of abortion.

People do label Gonzales conservative but he has ruled in favor of the Pro-Aborts on the few abortion cases he had so far. I really would not like this pick unless I am missing something here.

Remember, I think it was Reagan who selected Souter to the Supreme Court. Everyone thought he would be conservative and Pro-Life. Well he ended up liberal and Pro-Abortion and 4,500 unborn babies have been killed each day because of this selection.

I think Pres. Bush may pick Gonzales because he may be easier to get approved by Congress than a 100% Pro-Life candidate. President Bush’s job approval rating is now hurting with the American people. I do not think he will pick a solid 100% Pro-Life candidate right now because he cannot afford it even though he owes it to us Pro-Lifers who put him in office.

Just my thoughts.

Call your representatives in Congress now and demand you want a Supreme Court Judge who supports the “Culture of Life”!!!

SUPREME COURT JUSTICE O’CONNOR RETIRES, BUSH GETS APPOINTMENT
http://www.lifenews.com/oconnor.jpgWashington, DC (LifeNews.com) – Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor, the first woman appointed to the nation’s highest court, announced her retirement on Friday. Her resignation opens the door for President George W. Bush to make his first appointment to the Supreme Court and paves the way for an intense political battle.

SUPREME COURT BATTLE WILL FOCUS ON ABORTION AFTER O’CONNOR DEPATURE
http://www.lifenews.com/supremecourt2.jpgWashington, DC (LifeNews.com) – Groups on both sides of the abortion debate are getting ready for one of the largest national battles over the issue of abortion outside of a presidential election. With the retirement of pro-abortion Supreme Court Justice San Day O’Connor, the direction of the court on the issue of abortion could be greatly affected.

Gonzales Unacceptable to Pro-Lifers

With the Supreme Court’s last day before adjournment on Monday, there was much speculation about who will retire and who will be nominated as a replacement of either Rehnquist or O’Connor. Neither announced retirement, but while Alberto Gonzales seems to be a Bush favorite for a court replacement whenever this may happen, he will not have pro-life support and would greatly disappoint pro-lifers. He might, however, pass muster with liberal Democrats.

Better would seem to be either Judge Michael Luttig or Judge John Roberts, both conservatives. Roberts, while a solicitor general, signed a Supreme Court brief urging the court to overturn Roe. There is a comprehensive article on these two judges in Sunday’s Chicago Tribune.

According to Robert Novak in Monday’s Chicago Sun-Times, who also mentions Roberts and Luttig, Gonzales is unacceptable to pro-lifers because as a Texas Supreme Court judge he opposed parental notification and says Roe is inviolable, here to stay. Hard core conservatives don’t want him. Novak sees a possible political disaster for Bush if he nominates Gonzales when a court appointment is to be made.

Oh, I haven’t heard of the good news until just now. Congratulations lifesitenews.com! I applaud your help spreading the Culture of Life!

Justice Souter was picked by President Bush the 1st.
oyez.org/oyez/resource/legal_entity/105/

I seem to recall (I must admit that I was in “Pro-Choice” at the time - It was part of the 20 year trip down the Road to Jerrico) that he didn’t seem all that Pro-Life or Conservative when I read some of his writings when he was nominated time. There was nothing in them to indicate that he didn’t accept the strict interpretation of Roe v. Wade.

Remember George Bush the 1st was NOT really a conservative, and the really nasty fight over Clarence Thomas just freaked him out (He was a Senator for 16 years and had NEVER gone through ANYTHING like the fights over Judge Bork or Justice Thomas), so he choose the “path of least resistance” and oversold it to Conservatives all over America (Hoping they’d never read Justice Souter’s writings and realiza how badly he had betrayed them).

OTH, George Bush the 2nd is a Conservative, and I don’t think these fights have freaked him out nearly as much they did his father. But, we do have to help him to make the “Right” choices by showing him that (NO mater what the news says) we’ll support those choices. THAT’S THE REASON FOR E-MAILING THE PRESIDENT!

I’ve found that it get’s alwefully hard to do the right thing when the only voices you hear are those who are condemning that and telling you to do all the other things. That’s true even for the President of the United States or for a Saint of God.

So, please make sure you E-mail the President, and the Senators, and let them know you will support a PRO-LIFE STRICT CONSTRUCTIONIST/CONSTITUTIONIST.

That will help him to NOT do the EASY thing the LIBERALS and MODERATES want him to do and to do the HARD and RIGHT thing we do.

Blessed are they who act to save God’s Little Ones. Michael
