What are your favorite political films and courtroom dramas?

I haven’t watched a great many, but so far: the original Twelve Angry Men, followed by The Rainmaker.

I’m not sure if this would count as a courtroom drama, but 12 Angry Men (1957) is one of my favorites. I still remember reading the play in 8th grade.

Overall, I prefer police procedurals to courtroom dramas, and don’t generall watch a lot of political stuff. However…

For drama, I loved 12 Angry Men, and Seven Days in May.

For comedy, I loved Disorder in the Court: watching Curly trying to swear in is painfully funny — and The Great Dictator, which has many hilarious scenes, like Hynkel giving his maniacal speech in faux German, Hynkel and Napaloni alternating between heil-ing and shaking hands, and Hynkel with the globe balloon. I think Jack Oakie stole a lot of the scenes he was in, and to his credit, Chaplin let him.
 
Not into political films so can’t answer that one.
