For me, my favorite passages are the comforting ones that tell me to keep my head up no matter what problems I face, or how much criticism I get for being a christian, if I stay strong with Christ I can conquer anything. I say this because I know many people mock me for being a Christian. I know many atheists who think I’m a crazy loser because I believe in Christ. For any of you feeling sad about that, use these verses to bring you back up. Remember to always stay strong. <3

Some good verses for you:

1 Peter 4: 1-19

1 Peter 5: 6-11

2 Peter 3: 17-18

Jude 17-25

What are your favorites for when you are feeling like those are bringing you down? 🙂

“Blessed are you when men revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so men persecuted the prophets who were before you.”

Mt 5:11-12

Have no anxiety about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will keep your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
Philippians 4:6-8

My personal favorite is the last part of Mathew 28:20

And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."

My favorite Bible verse is, “God helps those who help themselves.” No, wait…That’s from Aesop’s Fables. And it’s “The gods help those who help themselves.” I guess that’s my favorite verse misidentified as from the Bible.

THE BEST Bible verse is, “Lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the age.” I kept hearing that when I was flat on my back with a slipped disk for weeks and desperately praying for God’s help. I was stunned to read quadripalgeic Joni Erickson Tada’s book on her diving accident and she, too, heard the verse, **“Lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the age.” **

hi! 🙂 i like this line where Our Lord says: “In the world you will have trouble, but take courage, I have conquered the world.” (John 16:33) 👍

I like this one
[bibledrb]Isaiah 49:16[/bibledrb]

And also the verse I have for my sig

I turn to this one during those times:

Psalm 42:5 - also repeated in verse 11, and 43:5 so take your pick 🙂

Why are you cast down, O my soul,
and why are you disquieted within me?
Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,
my savior and my God.

“For I know the plans I have for you, says the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” - Jeremiah 29:11

Psalm 27

“and him who comes to me I will not cast out.” - John 6:37

Ps 128:

Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways. 2 For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.
3 Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.
4 Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the Lord.
5 The Lord shall bless thee out of Zion: and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.
6 Yea, thou shalt see thy children’s children, and peace upon Israel.

If im feeling down its usually cause im not walking in the Word as i should be…

Psalm 145:8 (KJV)
8 The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.

Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

Luke 12:32 ESV

:yup:

*Who then shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation? or distress? or famine? or nakedness? or danger? or persecution? or the sword?

(As it is written: For thy sake we are put to death all the day long. We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.)

But in all these things we overcome, because of him that hath loved us.

For I am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor might,

Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.*

Romans 8:35-39

*The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the protector of my life: of whom shall I be afraid?
If armies in camp should stand together against me, my heart shall not fear. If a battle should rise up against me, in this will I be confident.
*
Psalm 26

My favorite for any and every disappointment is, “With God all things are possible.” It doesn’t matter how bleak the outlook, God can do the impossible. Not only can, but HAS, countless times. Keep praying.

This my favorite verse when I feel depressed
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, do I give unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid.

“The Lord your God is with you,
he is mighty to save.
He will take great delight in you,
he will quiet you with his love,
he will rejoice over you with singing.” Zephaniah 3:17 😃

I find the words, “And it came to pass. . .” comforting.
(Whatever trouble it was, it didn’t come to stay.) 👍
