Hi everyone, just curious – apart from prayer and spiritual reading, what are your favourite hobbies?

Edit: I think I should include mine too:

•Reading
Fiction: Fantasy and Action
Non-fiction: Psychology, History, Neuroscience, Self-Enrichment
•Video games
•Exercise
•Learning new skills

Creating things: new recipes, paintings, gardens, writings, decorative items.

I love college football. I pay attention to it obsessively. I read blogs, follow recruiting. Big big fan.

Weightlifting, American football and rugby, reading historical nonfiction…

Both playing and listening to music. I mainly play bass and guitar.
I also find music recording and equipment to be fascinating.

I am a hardcore reader. I love history, particularly 20th century history and various military history (civil war etc).

I have an addiction to true crime as well.

I also read fiction.

I love to eat but am not big on cooking. 🙂

I amend my profile to include napping as well. I just love, love, love a good afternoon nap!

My hobbies tend to evolve, but I’m into woodwork (I’ve been building my own furniture and carving cooking utensils), reading, learning about investing, lap swimming, cycling, health/fitness, and cooking.

I also have a side hustle as a designer – most of my work consists of designing uniforms for restaurants and logo work.

Growing my houseplants, large complicated jigsaw puzzles, reading, and listening to classical music.

Taking the super cub up getting back to stick and rudder flying. Not worrying about how to explain a taxi delay because LaGuardia was a nightmare. But in quest of finding the next hundred dollar hamburger. Then hockey reffing college high school and youth.

I enjoy reading but typically don’t make enough time to do so

I love watching hockey

I also enjoy making rosaries although i haven’t done it as much as I’d like

I don’t do much outside of spiritual things- not much worth mentioning, anyways. I like to draw, and I’d like to make some religious pieces while I’m in college. I’m actually working on a portrait of St. Teresa of Ávila right now. It won’t be much until I learn how to add color, though, so I’m going to try and get into a painting class next semester.

I’m also a musician. I’ve played tuba for about seven years or so, and I’m trying to teach myself to play bass guitar.

I tried getting into video game design for fun, but the class I took sucked all of that desire out of me.

More recently, I got a little bonsai tree that I’m trying to keep healthy. I’d like to get into that a lot more.

Ever use chainsaws? That is something I want to try- chainsaw carving.
Haha, not yet – that might be a bit advanced for me right now. I do a lot of projects with reclaimed wood.

Flying single-enginers is a dream of mine.

The seminary nearest to me is on a pretty sizable plot of land- a former rector there had a plane there and an airstrip, and would fly seminarians home if there was a sizable contingent from a certain place.

Pressing leaves and flowers to make greeting cards. People love them!

I am into triathlon. I used to just run, but got a bit bored of it. I’m not a very good swimmer or cyclist, so there’s lots of challenge! Also, I enjoy astronomy, but I don’t get my telescope out very often. Between work, working out, keeping up with my kids and spiritual life, by 9pm, I’m ready to hit the sack.
