Adultery is a sin. A forgivable sin. Spit on them and walk away?? May God have mercy on anyone who claims to be a Christian and does that

This is a problem. The situation needs to be discussed with a priest as it sounds like it is scandal. Even if they were living chastely, which frankly is very hard to do in the same house, it could leads others to live together and sin. From the catechism. As for a married man living with another woman, well, it depends. If they are chaste, living together as brother and sister, there is no problem at all. If they are living unchastely, most likely that would involve mortal sin. Someone in mortal sin is not āin full communion with the Church,ā but such a person is not spat upon or shown the door. The Church welcomes sinners. The Church hopes, prays, and works for their salvation.
It would not matter if you are a divorced and remarried Protestantā¦or a divorced and remarried Catholic who hasnāt received an annulment then yesā¦you are considered an adulterer by the Catholic Churchā¦and would not be allowed to receive the Eucharistā¦Iām not sure about being forgiven through reconciliation because if you are remarried you would still be considered an adulterer.I was talking to a ex Mormon friend of mine today and we started talking about adultery. We have noticed that some religions will not accept you if you have committed adultery, for example. If a man is separated from his wife for 4 years but he lives with his girlfriend and cannot afford divorce. Also if a woman or man has children out of wedlock. What are your views on adultery? Do you still invite them to church or do you spit on them and walk away?
In the New Testament I read, I have yet to come across instances where Jesus spits on sinners and walks away. Adultery is adultery. I know some people have difficult situations, but sometimes following Christ requires a lot of discipline and sacrifice.Do you still invite them to church or do you spit on them and walk away?
