Oh my gosh, there are so many choices!!! 🙂 There are some books I like (in random order) 🙂 I really like the Chronicles of Narnia, The Hobbit/Lord of the rings, Black Beauty, The family under the bridge, Little house on the prairie, Anne of Green Gables, and The Secret Garden. 🙂

Reading a book that just came out last year, “Why Protestant Bibles Are Smaller.” It cites numerous Catholic apologists, including some from Catholic Answers, including Jimmy Akin, Trent Horn, and also Gary Michuta (“Why Catholic Bibles Are Bigger”). It sounds like it’s a rebuttal to Michuta’s book. The author is a former Catholic, turned Protestant, who gives an interesting take on the difference between Catholic, Protestant, & other Bibles, like Eastern & Oriental Orthodox Bibles, and the reasons why. It’s on Amazon. Worth the read for those who are interested.

Really thoughtful answers throughout this site/forum. For great short stories, the western fiction of Ernest Haycox (Stage to Lordsburg) always impresses me for his paucity of words and ear for the voices of real people. The brilliant simplicity captures the settlement of the American West and catches my heart. For great fiction, the noir novels of Raymond Chandler and James Cain. Great stuff; better than the movies.
 
Frost was a true poet laureate for America. When he passed, I’ll always remember he was quoted as saying, “I had a lover’s quarrel with the world.” Great. Thank you!
