We all know that the Rosary is a great daily prayer. But it has begun to bother me a bit that I devote 15 minutes a day to Our Lady while I don’t feel like I devote more time in daily prayer to Our Lord. So I’m looking for advice from others, so I can lengthen my time praying to Jesus, spending longer with Him than with Mary, and hopefully strengthening my relationship with the Big Boss.
Some options I already know of
-Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament (but there’s no way I can do it for more than 15 minutes a day)
-Stations of the Cross
-Chaplet of Divine Mercy (but if it’s recited, it takes less than five minutes to do)
-Meditation or reading Scripture (but I would do those things anyway, and they don’t count as verbal prayers to me)
-Singing Psalms or other Hymns
-Using a Prayer Rope/Jesus Prayer
-Liturgy of the Hours (a long task that I’m not ready for quite yet)
-Mass of course (but I’m not always able to make it to daily Mass)
Any other suggestions?
