What are your thoughts about bringing back Disco?

I’d note that the movie was considered by many critics to be one of the best films of 1977 and that it’s since been placed in the National Film Registry as being “culturally, historically or aesthetically significant”.
I believe critic Gene Siskel even said it was his favorite movie.

As Bob Seger put it in his song :Old Fashioned Rock and Roll"

Don’t try to take me to a disco
You’ll never even get me out on the floor
In ten minutes I’ll be late for the door
I like that old-time rock ‘n’ roll

Should we bring it back?
I believe it would require some sort of witchcraft in order to resurrect it. The gulf between Hell and our world can only be bridged by divination. That would be, of course, a very anti-Christian thing to do. Disco is in it’s final resting place, and it should remain there.

As soon as I saw the title of this thread I thought " I bet Jamal started that thread" and I was right! 😂

Your kidding , right??? Please delete your thread, before we have a bunch of ‘disco’ crazies flooding the page.:sob:You are right about one thing it’s a’ shame’, it was then and o my it would be again. We moved on, didn’t we move far enough??..😱😩

That’s exactly how I rather felt about it, too.

I think that I kind of had mixed feelings about it, to begin with.

I didn’t like it all that much at the beginning liking Rock music more, but then I got into it, as my sister and some of her friends liked it, so I started listening to it, and then many of the radio stations started to play more of it too, so it was just all over the radio back then.

Then, it started to wear thin on me again, and I didn’t miss it after awhile.

There is time for a choice vintage merlot, and then there it time for lemonade. 🙂

Hmmm, well, I’m not sure where the disco idea come from last night. 🤔

Don’t worry, I have millions more where that came from.

I remember seeing that I the news, and it is a shame I could not attend it.

Ah ah ah ah, bringin’ it back, bringin’ it back.

@Discobot fortune You say we can rely on you coming back, but is it all a good time to bring Disco music back?

My intuition tells me that the Millennials would eat it up. 🙂

I can’t dance. At least I don’t think I can. Maybe I just need a little Sangrea. 🤔 idk. I’m actually an introvert.

I keep telling you. Take up Ballroom dancing. Ospreys are naturally “light on their feet.”

Is this serious? 😊 I wouldn’t mind bringing back punk. Sometimes I wonder if the lack of good pop/rock music, I mean, as a real collective force in kids’ lives, is having more of a harmful effect than we realize. I know the Beatles or the Sex Pistols or whoever are not good Christian influences. But music drew generations together, gave them identity, an outlet for emotion, a sense of belonging to a community. Social media just doesn’t seem to achieve the same even semi-positive results. (I don’t know why I am trying to talk about this on a pro disco thread - nevermind - carry on)

I know we’re not suppose to conduct business on CAF, but I"m actually fishing around for angel investors. 🤨

A shameful and decisive turn in American history. It is truly one for the historians to look back upon with great dismay and mourning for the loss of a culture having so much potential, yet in such a short time, falling so far.
