they are women that have committed themselves to God…
they spend their lives in service to God and Man…
They, teach, feed the poor, serve in missions… clothe the naked, heal the sick, counsel the lonely… not enough time or space to do the credit to them that they deserve…
most are true saints… best example I can give you…
A nun is a woman who has made vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience, and lives in a community with fellow sisters under obedience to a superior.
What does a nun do? It depends on the Order. Generally, nuns pray, do manual labor, and study. They may have other duties, but again this is dicatetd by the particular mission of the Order they belong too.
