What, as an Anglican, should I do next in my search?

I have always been interested in the Catholic faith, but I was brought up an Anglican. Recently, perhaps as a result of suffering a personal tragedy, I have found myself drawn more strongly to the Catholic church. I have visited a local Catholic Church on a number of occasions, but I am not sure what I should do next. I wonder if I am just looking for answers to help me through life when it is difficult, or if this really is the right way for me.

Dear Adele,

It sounds like you ARE looking for answers to help you through life and find yourself being drawn strongly to the Catholic Church. If you are just looking for answers to help you through a difficult time in your life, you would naturally look to your Anglican faith. But something else seems to be going on here. Go with it. I suggest that you check with a priest at a Catholic parish. You are in our prayers.

Fr. Vincent Serpa, O.P.
