Reading Bonhoeffer by Eric Metaxas, about three quarters through and has been a great read.

Surah IV of the Qur’an
The Book of Exodus from the KJV Bible
The Complete Dead Seas Scrolls in English (still)
A Concise History of the Catholic Church, by Thomas Bokenkotter

I’m reading Why He Is a Saint: The Life and Faith of Pope John Paul II and the Case for Canonization by Slawomir Oder.

I’m also reading an 8-week study on prayer based on the spiritual exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola.

Finished reading a few books I received for Christmas

“of Angels” by: Patrick Regan

andrewsmcmeel.com/products/?isbn=0740761854

“The Christmas Journey” by: Donna VanLiere

us.macmillan.com/thechristmasjourney

A booklet I found by looking for something else that the “Little Sisters of the Poor” sent me in June. 2007 called “Serenity” this booklet really helped me out a lot.

I’m currently reading a book my nephew lent to me called, “Time for kids Almanac 2011”

amazon.com/Time-Kids-Almanac-Editors-Magazine/dp/1603201297

I’m also reading “Catholic Digest ~ December 2010”

catholicdigest.com/

I’m still trying to read “The Experience of being called: A guide to knowing if you have a Religious Vocation” by: Bro. Gerlac O’Loughlin, O.C.S.O.

Re-reading The Catholic Church and Conversion by Chesterton. This will be about my third read through of this book. Very good.

Im reading my way through the Gospels, Parish Priest, and Dawn of the Dreadfuls.

Who is Jesus Christ? Unlocking the Mystery in the Gospel of Matthew by Eric Sammons with a Foreword by Fr. Benedict J. Groeschel

Mankind Autobiography
Edgar Allen Poe short stories
Murakami - After Dark

The Long Exile by Melanie McGrath.

Its an account of a small number Inuit families who, in 1953, were moved from the eastern shore of the Hudson Bay where they had a tenuous life to the desolation of Ellesmere Island 1500 miles north. The Inuit say they were moved against their will. The Canadian government says they were volunteers. In any event, the Inuit suffered greatly as they fulfilled their purpose of being human flagpoles to solidify Canada’s claim to the high Arctic.

I recently finished two books:

The Bible Compass: A Catholic’s Guide to Navigating the Scriptures
Praying the Psalms with St. Padre Pio

The full book reviews are posted on my BLOG:

Currently reading a few books.

The Girl Who Played With Fire/ Steig Larsson
Just finished reading the first book in the series. It’s an incredible series.

True Grit
only read a few pages so far.

Immitation of Christ

Bonnie Jo Campbell’s American Salvage and Phillipp Meyer’s American Rust both rather dark and stark but very good books and give an interesting look at manhood.

Cyber War by Richard Clarke (Former U.S. anti-terrorism czar). I posted a thread about it. The book delineates how a cyber attack could easily disable critical infrastructure and bring America to a screeching halt. Disabled utilities, financial institutions, etc. Food shortages. 152 views and no comments.

We’ll discuss how many Angels can dance on the head of a pin and similarly useful subjects. But a threat to our very way of life? Apparently too boring. :banghead:

My second read through *Four Witnesses: The Early Church in Her Own Words *by Rod Bennett

I just finished reading the Secrets of Mary. It is a wonderful book and should be on the list of all Catholics to read.

I’m soon going to start “The Ringworld Engineers” by Larry Niven; I started it once before but got held up by some of the “established SF writer” ickiness (anyone who’s read Heinlein’s later stuff knows the sort of thing I mean, though Niven’s not half that crazy).

Other than that I mainly read reference books for things I’m writing.
