I’m reading “AN EXORCIST” “More Stories” by Fr. Gabriele Amorth
This is a great book. We are reminded that “Evil” is not a thing, (or a corruption of goodness), it is a person, an intelligent being. His name is Satan who has an agenda… Fr. Amorth echos the words of Our Lord… “The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil.” 1 John 3:8
and that the church has somehow forgotten to preach this. There is a lack of awareness of the personification of evil, “The Devil” Some Priests and some Bishops don’t believe that Satan is real, they believe that he is some midevil fairy tale. He also puts into perspective satanic sects, fortune tellers, astrologers, seances, etc. and real life stories of actual exorcisms. This book is not sensationalist; its very very gripping and informative. A must read for todays Catholic.

I’m finally getting around to reading the Iliad, and I’m quite glad I am. It’s terrific.

I just started reading Brant Pitre’s “Jesus and the Jewish Roots of the Eucharist”, so far it is very good! And for a little lite reading I am also reading “The Sinners Guide” by Venerable Louis of Granada. 👍

I got a Kindle back in November and I recently read Scott and Kimberly Hahn’s story of their conversion. “Rome Sweet Rome”. I read it in one day! It was meant to be my “Lent Reading” and I started reading it Fat Tuesday…finished it Ash Wednesday.

I do need a suggestion… the books by Immaculee Ilibagiza, the woman who survived the Rwandan Holocaust hiding in a very small bathroom…which one to get?

There’s Left to Tell: Discovering God amidst the Rwandan Holocaust.
Led By Faith: Rising from the Ashes of the Rwandan Genocide

and

Our lady of Kibeho, Mary speaks to the World from the Heart of Africa

Has anyone read the first two?

jediliz- “Rome sweet Rome” sounds rather interesting.

I too, would like to read books by or about Immaculee Ilibagiza.

Right now, I am currently reading "Shadow of His Hand (Daughters of Faith series) by: Wendy Lawton it’s the story about Holocaust survivor Anita Dittman.

I’m currently reading a Regan Reilly mystery called Popped, however I will soon start reading Shades of Simon Gray by Joyce McDonald as a novel for school. However, I think it should be very interesting… 🤷

The Dark River by John Twelve Hawks

and 24 Hours That Changed the World by Adam Hamilton (a Lenten reflection)

I’m actually reading several books right now… in no particular order.
  1. Ignatius Study Bible
  2. Catholicisim for Dummies
  3. The Case for Christ
  4. The Orc King
I try to read the Bible daily whether it be the ISB or my NAB just to read a different story that I’ve not hit yet. The others I just go with whatever suits my mood 🙂

The Hunger Games Trilogy. While I don’t think it’s a great idea and I am glad it doesn’t exist, I just read it for pleasure. As soon as I get done, I’m going back to more spiritual reading.

I have been reading The Diary of Saint Maria Faustina Kowalska during this Lent. It is an amazeing, spiritual, and eye or heart opening book. I am so glad I started it.

I’ve begun reading “True Devotion to the Virgin Mary” by St. Louis de Montfort, a true classic and an excellent explanation of its subject. I may have read it many years ago but it’s definitely worth reading again.

Tomatoes Garlic Basil: The Simple Pleasures of Growing and Cooking Your Garden’s Most Versatile Veggies by Doug Oster

I just finished “An Exorcist More Story’s” a very facinating series…a revealing look into this invisible reality. I will finish my study on “demonology and mother church” with the book called “The Demonologist” which I have found has been around for a good many years but is no doubt a necessary read for anyone doing a study on this subject.
