The Lair of the White Worm by Bram Stoker.
It’s quite a ‘read’ - hopefully you started with ‘The Hunger Games’, and ‘Mockingjay’ finishes the series off ‘nicely’ - if you can apply that adjective to the series.Catching Fire, by Suzanne Collins.![]()
I just finished it in a day, I really hope we can get to the library again soon! It’s quite a ‘read’ - hopefully you started with ‘The Hunger Games’, and ‘Mockingjay’ finishes the series off ‘nicely’ - if you can apply that adjective to the series.
Expect to feel even more of the above emotions when you finish the third book. A most challenging series, and I am far from the “female YA demographic” but was thoroughly fascinated by the books. Not sure that I would want to see the movie though.I just finished it in a day, I really hope we can get to the library again soon!
So many emotions right now!
Yes, I started with Hunger Games. It’s pretty spectacular, considering what’s come out for the female YA demographic recently.![]()
Fantastic book, as long as you can stand to read about children dying.Right now I’m reading Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card.
I loved it! Very different from the Ken Follett I had read previously. There is a sequel which I also enjoyed.Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett.
My sister-in-law raved about this book. I’m about 20% done. Eh.
