The following was my first post but I think I posted it on the wrong forum. This needs to be answered by an apologist:
2301 in the Catechism specifies that cremation is allowable but nothing is said about what can be done with the ashes. I have heard that the ashes must be entombed in some way but I see nothing mandating that. Can the ashes simply be released in an appropriate place?
