What can I do about this sacramental abuse?

I have a friend who told me he is an atheist; he doesn’t believe in God, the Holy Trinity, Jesus, or anything at all. However, his parents force him to attend Mass, where he receives the Eucharist. He claims his family would disown him if he did not, but he will not tell them he is atheist.
Technically, he is completely eligible for the Eucharist, that is: He is a baptized and confirmed Catholic, he doesn’t believe himself to be in mortal sin, and he believes that he is being forced to receive the Eucharist against his wishes.

I, being in the RCIA, can’t receive the Eucharist. It feels terrible to know someone who doesnt respect the Eucharist can have it, but the person who longs for it cant. My RCIA Director advised me to pray, but to let it go.

Are my personal feelings getting in the way, or should my friend really not take the Eucharist? Is there ANYTHING I can do in this situation besides just pray?
