Please help me, i would like to know what books can i read to defend the Catholic Faith? My in-laws are Protestant and they can quote verses out the Bible left right and centre and I am not one who can do that, so in future when they say something I can give an answer not ’ I don’t know’…

they believe praying to the Saints and Mary is wrong, they say they are dead but whoever is in heaven are alive so the Saints and Mary aren’t dead am I correct? It would be the same as them asking their pastor to pray for them during a difficult time or asking their fellow Christians in their congregation to pray for them… they think its a sin to pray to saints and Mary so if they think its a sin then, them asking someone to pray for them is a sin too.

They also say things like the Pope is the next best thing to Jesus… what are your views on this?

They would also attack the fact a Priest is suppose to be celibate.

Why do some not all non-Catholics have to be so judgmental, why cant we all unite because even though religions do things differently and do things a certain way in the end its the same God we pray to. Whether you are Catholic, Baptist, Methodist, Anglican etc we still pray to the same God.

Another thing they also say is ‘The Missal’ is our Bible… i know what a missal is and i know what the bible is, how can i explain it in simple terms for them as simple as possible because they might attack me for saying one thing wrong
