What can I say when asked why I don't know better than to be Catholic?

Is there a simple answer to the question “Why are you Catholic, don’t you know any better?” that I sometimes receive from Evangelicals?
 
“Do you think Jesus would approve of Christians spreading the Good News by putting down the intelligence of others? Is that how Jesus would have Christians demonstrate the hope that is within them?”
