I’ve heard that Muslims believe in heaven they will be rewarded in earthly terms. Like, a man will have many virgins to enjoy. So what could a virtuous married woman expect in heaven according to Muslim scriptures or popular belief? A faithful husband, sexy guys dancing attendance or her, or what? Will there be marriage and sexual pleasure in heaven?

There is no such thing as “Muslim heaven”. Speculation would be pure fantasy.

I mean what Muslin scriptures say about the afterlife. I’m Catholic so I believe we will know God there and see and love others as God does. I expect something lots better than sensual pleasures.

I think someone of the Muslim faith should try and answer this one.

I have often wanted the same thing. Mormon’s seem to me the same way. I know that a good Mormon man will become a god of his own planet but what of the good Mormon woman does she become a god also or is just … well I don’t know what.

I can’t wait to hear the answer. Thank you for stating the thread.

Yes, Islam seems to me very much a man’s religion. I’d like to hear from and about the women.

I also wondered about the Mormon women.

In Islam, Heaven is the perfection of human happiness. Without an atom of human sadness or distress. it includes all sorts of pleasures . It is rid of all evil , envy and stress.

The most pleasurable thing in heaven is to see Gods Face.

The marital life in heaven is arranged more or less like God has arranged it on earth. Men can have multiple wives. Women would have one husband , the most righteous of which she has married on earth. a mans wife on earth is in heaven is the most beautiful lady he can set his eye on. A husband for a lady in heaven is very sufficient for her. If its her pleasure that he dances erotically for her then he will.

Heaven in islam doesnt have envy, every bieng is feeling happiness and contentement with what he has . a man marrid to one lady is as happy as a man married to many. A lady married to one man would be as happy as if she had relationship with many.

In heaven you have a life, you have prayers, you have fun and you haev spirituality. nothing cancells teh other.

Doesn’t sound like much to me. It seems to place undue attention on erotic pleasures. Surely sounds like some guy made it up.

Virgins are a metaphor. Just as Revelation doesn’t literally mean that in Heaven, Jesus will marry the Lamb’s Bride and consummate the marriage with sex.

Revelation 21:9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb’s wife.

Revelation 21:10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,

What’s wrong speculating that there will be sex in Heaven? It is by far my favorite Earthly activity. I hope there’s some sex in Heaven, ain’t nothin wrong with that…

I am seeing a problem with numbers in Islamic heaven.

Let me see if I get this straight.
  • Men can have multiple wives in Islamic heaven.
  • Women can have one husband.
  • Men can have little boys “attending” them too.
  • Men can have many perpetually young people attending them.
Okay, I understand that. But I see a problem.
Where are all the women coming from?

Women comprise nearly exactly 50% of the population. That would include aborted babies.

If all men have multiple wives, won’t Allah is going to run out of women before he runs out of men? Therefore, for many, perhaps most men, the promise of heaven is cannot be fulfilled.

Or have I got my math wrong?

I wonder if the description given is accurate. If it is, then I never realized that Islam had such a carnal idea of heaven. The beatific vision makes alot more sense.

Concerning your scenario, I suppose Allah would create new women for exclusive “use” in heaven.

That leaves a lot of us white guys out. I guess that’s how other men can have multiple wives in heaven.

“For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven.” – Matthew 22:30

I will stay Catholic, thank you very much! 🙂

The Mormons have the same problem in the Celestial Kingdom. They explain it by saying that women are naturally more righteous and spiritually-minded than men are, so more of them will make it to the highest heaven. So there will be plenty of them to become polygynous wives to those Mormon men who become “gods”.

If a woman was married on earth to a man who didn’t make it, she will be taken from her husband and will be re-married to a righteous Mormon. 'Cuz families are forever, right?

A very small idea of heaven if you ask me.

I don’t think Songs is a sex story, but I think it uses sex as an analogy for the mystical union between man and God.

The sexual union is but a shadow of the union we were made to enjoy.
