Joehar: I take it that you have a problem with good people like these being lied to? I have a burden for them also because I was one of them. I believe the Word is the light of the world and that it will stand without the added doctrines of men. Jesus is the Rock and not Peter.
Ex…Old buddy, you just don’t listen do ya…
We could go back & forth all day on such things, but the facts are there to behold. You quote all this Scripture yet ignore the Keys to the Kingdom which Jesus gave to Kepha (Peter). Quit cryin because you have no authority to run a church…You claim to obey Jesus & the Bible alone, yet you readily ignore passages that support Catholic positions
It’s all here Brother…

Read it for yourself. :ehh: & quit with this attack mode that doesn’t treat us like we’ve heard all your rhetoric before.
Answer me this…Do you really read ANY of the stuff on this site?
Have you even looked at the Catechism of the Catholic Church?
I WAS and “ex-Catholic” for over 30 years my dear friend & I’m really ashamed to say that now I see that I was lied to about the Catholic Church on very many things.Do you know who Ignatius of Antioch was? He was a close disciple of the Apostle John, & his writings come down to us today. His statements show that he learned Catholic doctrine (by which I mean doctrines that we believe today) from St. John himself and transmitted it in his letters as Bishop of the church in the same city where we were first called Christians. He calls it Catholic, because the name was already used to show the difference between real Christians & the heretical groups around at that time.
I’ll never return to Protestantism. There’s just nothing in it for me & I sincerely feel like they misrepresent Catholic teaching to keep their people from seeing the scriptural basis for it.Case in point: I have yet to see you post a viable answer to John 20:21-23…& I’ve never heard a Prot preacher touch on this passage. If we aren’t supposed to confess our sins to others then why does St. James tell us, “Confess your sins to one another and pray for one another that you may be healed”? (James 5 13-16) Answer that Ex. You can’t, because it’s a clear command to do exactly what we do. Yet you never answer the simple passages that support us. I’ve had soooo many discussions w/ beloved Prots who do just the same thing…yet they always fall silent when I show them in scripture that we are doing as commanded.
Your attack on celibacy I have answered in another thread, so I won’t touch it here.
PLEASE read the tracts on this site & read the catechism, which is also online, so it won’t even cost you anything but your time and patience. Even back when I had left the church I still took the time to read stuff by cults like the JWs & others so that I could talk to them with knowlege & share my faith. I think you are afraid that we might be right. I really do.
C’mon home Brother…you’re not gonna convert anyone here & your rhetoric doesn’t hold water. I KNOW because I’ve been where you are & it doesn’t work.
I love ya & respect ya
keep comin’ this way now…easy does it…
