The saints set a very high standard. I mean like what possible chance do we have while watching TV, inappropriate dressing and complicity. Our Lady of L.A. Seller prophylactic scared me. We don’t have time to ease into a prayer life. It is urgent we do it now. “The road to He’ll is full of good intentions”.

We have all the Hope in Christ which is a great chance. We have all sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God but as Catholics we have the Sacrament of Reconicliation so when we fall we can confess , be absolved and move on hoping not to commit that sin again. If we do, for human nature can be weak, we can repeat the cycle. Thus, the blessing of being Catholic.

Mary.

What chance? Good question. I don’t think we should think that only Saint’s have a chance, God is happy if we really try to do our best. If one want to be a Saint he/she most likely will not be one. God call us as He see it is OK. We must aim high, but not to high. God do know how much we can give and will not ask for more.

Study history. Would you refrain from warning people in a town in your country of an impending attack so there would be no visible effects that they had been warned, or risk revealing to the government of Germany that its codes had been cracked? Churchill had to make a decision on that one.

How about choosing between the pursuit of truth and the risk of enabling the development of incredibly small WMDs, small enough for terrorists to easily conceal? This could be a dilemma facing some scientists today.

How about just trying to survive if you were born in Syria or Iraq and still living there? How about protecting your most basic rights if you were a foreign laborer in Saudi Arabia?

Doesn’t “Location: Ca.” mean that you’re living in California? Don’t you have options? Are the challenges you face so great that it’s difficult for you to know what is the right thing to do?

Exactly! 👍

If you are setting aside 24 hours a day for doing your own thing and zero minutes for prayer every day…

Basically, you need to decide that prayer is more important than other things in life, like watching reality TV shows, checking facebook very frequently, shopping for stuff you don’t need, etc. I’m not saying that you do this, OP, but prayer needs to have a major place in your life. When prayer becomes the foundation upon which your life is built, it is no longer a chore, but a joy.

we have no chance to get to Heaven, and that is the good part, that the one that gives us the chance is God Himself, so don’t live in worry, just do your best to stay away from sin, pray and be thankful to God.
