What changes did the Dead Sea Scrolls bring?

That is, what are some verses that scholars began to translate differently in light of finding the Dead Sea Scrolls?

Do the DSS agree with the Septuagint, Masoretic Tanakh or Samaratian Pentateuch the most often?

Also, unrelated question, but what version of the Hebrew Bible did Jews use for Sabbath readings before the Masoretic Text, and before that?

The Scrolls did not contain any significant changes to the Hebrew scriptures we know today. There seems to be no evidence that, among the Jews, the text of the Old Testament was uniform at the time of Jesus or after, until the Massoretic text came along and sort of gelled the majority opinions.

I am no scholar but I believe the gospel of John, which was frequently accused of borrowing from Greek philosophy because of its themes of light and darkness, was proven to be closer to Judaism of the time by the Dead Sea Scrolls, which also showed light/dark themes.

I have heard mention of the “Son of Man” mentioned in the Dead Sea Scrolls. Can anyone enlighten me? Is it mentioned, and, if so, in what context?

And what about the Teacher of Rightheusness predicted in the Scrolls.
According to the Book Teach Yourself the Old Testament, by Gordon McConville, the Qumran text was closer to the Septuagint in text and canon that to the Masoretic text.
Wich bring questions about the links of the Hellenistics Jews, the Escenes and the Early Christians.
 
I believe that particles of tobit, judith, and baruch have being found written in the hebrew language. that would make the reasons for banning them from the catholic bible years ago somewhat wrong .
 
You should look up the Isaih Scroll, the agreement between the MT and that text is amazing to say the least. The DSS is at least 1,000 years older than any hebrew manuscript of Isaiah and the agreement is WOW.
