Lets not count weddings or funerals, just services. I will go first:

Roman Catholic Greek Orthodox Christian Science
Southern Baptist Bible Baptist Unitarian Univ. Unity Congregational Presbyterian United Methodist Episcopal Various non-denominational Quaker Mennonite

That sounds like a lot but i realized I have never been to a lot of the biggies, Lutheran, Church of Christ, United Church of Christ, Mormon, JW, or Assembly of God.

Makes me realize how sheltered of a life I’ve lead, I’ve only been to a Lutheran church and a non denominational for my niece’s dedication…

Baptist,Methodist/Uniting, Buddhist-lesser vehicle, greater vehicle, and zen. Anglican, Lutheran, Catholic…NO and SPPX

  1. All kinds of baptist, mostly S. Baptist (Thanks Grandma!)
  2. The crazy “non-denominational-fundamentalist-baptist” 1st Baptist Church in Hammond, IN (WOW! What a cultic activity they have going on there!)
  3. Methodist
  4. Roman Catholic (Thanks to my other Grandma!)
  5. All kinds of Assembly of God churches (Thanks to my Aunt and Sister!)
  6. Dude, I can’t even begin to tell you all the churches I went to regularly! Sometimes 2-3 different churches in the SAME WEEK!
Thank God for youth groups and such on Friday Nights!! I can probably say that they may have very well saved my life. I had fun as a Royal Ranger in the Assembly of God Wednesday nights. S. Baptist Sunday School and Vacation Bible School was very good for my background in understanding the love for Jesus. Babysitters, neighbors and friends dragged me off to different child and youth activities at churches all over the scale.

Never been to a service at a Mormon church or even stepped into a JW building. I work at alot of Mormon churches because we are their service provider for HVAC when their own maint. can’t get the job done. I browse around and look at all the tracts and such. I have a pretty good library of Mormon literature from visiting the church during work and a friend. I started a little evangelist book for visiting Mormons, but haven’t gotten too far. There’s a lot ot learn from their perspective and the constant contradictions drove me nuts. I had to step back for a bit, but I’ll restart soon 🙂

I went to Methodist with husband and parents as a newly wed. Sermon made some catty remarks about Catholics. Never went again. Most fun was going to a black AME church with my folks housekeeper. I was a kid, but they had such fun. The music was lively and do were the attendants.

Jay, I’ve heard some remarks that leaving the JWs is one tough cookie. Is this true? I’d really be interested in hearing your story about your departure, if you have time of course. PM me if you’d like.
