So I am struggling with this issue as a whole, and I thought maybe some of you could help me.
I have been in a serious relationship for about a year a half. We are very close to getting engaged. As things have progressed between us and we’ve become more serious and fallen more in love, our desire to have sex has increased. However, both of us are very committed to waiting until marriage.
But my question has to do with impure thoughts: is a thought about having sex with someone (after you are married), impure? Is it wrong to be looking forward to that and to sometimes think about how wonderful it’s going to be?
Also, when does an impure thought become sinful? Sometimes I will have the thoughts described above, and it will be about 10 seconds before I catch myself and will myself to think about something else because it might be sinful. Or, I might notice myself becoming aroused and then I will think about something else.
Any thoughts would be most appreciated!
