What constitutes profanity?

What constitutes a profanity in the sense of slighting the name of God and any associations to such? My Pentecostal friend says I have a foul mouth in this sense and I have seriously attempted to watch those thoughtless habits I have formed . It is often unconscious and I do not even see some things as such…if you can point me in the right direction in reforming myself I would appreciate it?
