What about if you hear people having sinful conversations and you don’t say anything or watching a reality tv show with sin (would watching it be considered supporting it as you are giving it views) or is supporting sin only when you give them actual advice that would involve them sinning?

As instructed in previous thread, please get help for your scrupulosity from your pastor.

I agree it’s pobably not healthy but do you mind giving answer because I’m actually getting worried about this matter, especially the thing about giving it views

Agree with the above. Asking here can only lead to confusion. Talk with your pastor.

Do NOT ask here. Talk to your priest!

  1. When you voice your support of a sin/advising someone to sin
  2. Using your democratic right to vote in support of a sin.
  3. Helping others commit a sin (e.g. handing out contraception)
Edit: more point from the catechism

Seriously OP, you need to speak to a Priest and your parents about your scruples. This is not healthy and asking here only prolongs the difficulty for you because you aren’t learning to help yourself. Please talk to someone about this.

Catechism
1868 Sin is a personal act. Moreover, we have a responsibility for the sins committed by others when we cooperate in them:
  • by participating directly and voluntarily in them;
  • by ordering, advising, praising, or approving them;
  • by not disclosing or not hindering them when we have an obligation to do so;
  • by protecting evil-doers.

Michael, I really want to rob a bank.

You reply “You deserve to have some fun and to make some income, I think you should do it!”

or “Michael, my mom said I cannot go to this event. I’m going to tell her I am staying at your house,will you cover for me?”

You reply “sure! That is what friends are for!!”

Thank you for the answer but what I’m this case is meant by not disclosing or not hindering?

When your friend tells you he is going to rob a bank, you should report it to a trusted adult.

When your friend tells you he is going to rob a bank, you should not toss him your car keys.

At a finer point, discuss with your priest.

Thanks, so it wouldn’t mean any of the things I put in he original post are supporting sin?

Supporting sin means you are in a case where you have a specific obligation. Generally merely passively being aware that someone else talks about a sin doesn’t satisfy that. This really count primarily where one is in some position of moral authority or where one has an obligation to protect a third party by reporting the sin.

Is what you are talking about reporting crimes to the police. If that is what you are talking about would you be obligated to actually look for crimes to report and find evidence for?

Stop posting threads on here and talk to your priest. To keep posting is only going to make your problems worse.

Definitely not, unless you’re actually a police officer.
