What did Jesus say to Sister Faustina?

When Jesus gave the Divine Mercy Image, what did He say to her? specifically? Was the message just venerate the grace of the image? the message? or bow down before it? doesn’t it seem idolatrous?
 
It’s not idolatrous.
You are supposed to “venerate” the image, not worship it.
You venerate it in the way you’d show love and respect for a portrait of your
mom, especially at her best.

The blood and water are represented by the rays emanating from the sacred heart
of Jesus in the Divine Mercy image. This blood and water represents the price
of human salvation, paid by the God-man, Jesus.
 
I’m still new to the faith so I can’t answer your question though I’m sure someone will be along directly with a descriptive answer. That said I would guess that if Christ spoke to someone about anything, it wouldn’t be sinful in any way. If Christ told me to build a statue and venerate it I’d do it. I wouldn’t consider that idolatry (difference between veneration and worship). If He ordered me to worship it then I would probably ask Him if he was really Christ lol (ya never know) Christ wouldn’t ask anyone to sin. Obviously. And since, as far as I know anyways, the approved belief is that Christ spoke to Her, I trust fully in the message. Depends on if you add the context or just take it as a personal opinion/stance/interpretation, whatever you would like to call it. And for that, you’ll have to wait until someone who can provide said proper context to come along, since I’m afraid I don’t have the answer u_u I’ll be lurking in here awhile cause I’d really like to know this as well 👍 God Bless!
 
Remembering what Jesus said to St. Faustina about the image when she was sad about it not being as beautiful as it was in person, “Not in the beauty of the color, nor of the brush lies the greatness of this image, but in My grace”. It is the reality behind the image we are adoring by way of venerating the image.

And that reality is the power of God’s Grace given to us by Jesus, through Jesus, and in Jesus. It is not something that has happened but is happening and is continuing to happen.
 
Jesus said many things and showed St. Faustina many things. Perhaps you ought to get a copy of the book and read it to judge for yourself. I plan to read it soon, God willing. Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
